Vickie Kennedy is the Assistant Director for Insurance Services at the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, managing one of the nation's largest workers' compensation insurers through Washington's State Fund and overseeing Washington's 360 self-insurers. The Insurance Services Division includes approximately 1,100 employees including Claims Administration, Return to Work Partnerships, Employer Services (Policy and Account Management), Health Services Analysis (management of provider fee schedule and medical cost containment efforts), Office of the Medical Director, and the Self-Insurance Program. Vickie has been with L&I in the workers' compensation field for more than 45 years and is committed to improving outcomes for injured workers and reducing costs to employers through prevention of work disability and the provision of high quality health care throughout Washington's system. Vickie currently chairs the Disability Management and Return-to-Work Committee of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC).
