Tracks: Responder Resiliency & Support

In the wake of the mass shooting atrocity on October 1, 2017 in Las Vegas, Community Ambulance’s Special Event Medical Standby Division manager and paramedic, Glen Simpson, offers a multi-media snapshot of internal and external measures the company has taken since the tragedy occurred. Glen will provide you with solid advice about how your agency can address the emotional health of their boots on the ground personnel if or when a tragedy occurs in your service area. He will show how Community Ambulance is supporting the EMS personnel who were involved during  the mass shooting. Glen will lend his observations about how they are thoughtfully positioning the company in Clark County and in the EMS industry since they have proven themselves “expert” by experience. In this session, Community Ambulance will also explore the logistical milestones for promoting Stop the Bleed campaigns and how they are testifying in support of new crowd safety legislation.
