This presentation will discuss a project aimed at objectively reviewing the Scottish Ambulance Service's clinical response model. The new model now allows for a re-categorization of patients based on their clinical need, matching the right response, resource and skill to deliver best care on scene, and consider their onward pathway need. The two main stages of the project will be discussed: 1) Developing the methodology and framework to objectively review each dispatch code; and 2) Piloting the new clinical response model.
