Approximately 1.1 trillion gallons of water per year is used to irrigate urban landscapes in California. In response to legislative action, the California Energy Commission has evaluated landscape irrigation equipment for testing and minimum performance standards. The Commission proposes Appliance Efficiency Standards that act to reduce wasteful water use. The workshop process, stakeholder feedback, and staff findings will be presented with an opportunity for questions regarding progress with proposed standards for spray sprinkler bodies, a component of sprinkler heads.
