IAAPA Human Resources Symposium - Creative Work Place Solutions for HR Managers (Room S331CD)

The IAAPA Human Resources (HR) Symposium is an intensive one-and-a-half-day program that examines current HR practices in the attractions industry. Examine how HR professionals can employ creative problem-solving techniques in a variety of human resource management situations from recruiting to employee engagement.   
  
HR leaders will gain key insights into the following areas:
• Creative problem solving: an analytical and tactical approach
• Creative recruiting solutions
• Creative training processes to enhance learning
• Creative employee engagement strategies to maintain a high-performance workforce

In addition, the symposium will take a fascinating field trip to SeaWorld Orlando and examine that facility’s approach to employee training, engagement, and culture. Throughout the symposium attendees will be encouraged to share their challenges and triumphs with a group of like-minded, people-focused professionals.

The HR Symposium is intended for those who are currently in HR roles or hold a management or leadership position. The symposium consists of classroom study sessions and a behind the scenes look at how SeaWorld Orlando. Participants can also attend the IAAPA Kick Off event Tuesday morning.

IAAPA CERTIFICATION: 13 credit  hours.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE: Morning and Afternoon breaks; Boxed Lunch

TRANSPORTATION: Buses depart the OCCC South Concourse at TBD. Buses depart SeaWorld Orlando at TBD. Participants may not drive separately.

NOTES: Must be 18 or older to attend. Separate ticket and Expo badge required to attend.

COST: US$249 IAAPA Members; US$349 Nonmembers. Tickets should be purchased in advance as space is limited and may sell out. Expo registration is also required. Symposium fee includes symposium tuition and support materials, daytime meals and refreshments, facility tour of SeaWorld, and certificate of attendance.
