TA2 | A Challenge With Rewards: Sourcing and Recruiting People With Disabilities (Room Zeno 4602)

Employers may welcome people with disabilities, but few job seekers with disabilities see employers making an effort to put out that welcome mat. The challenges are many and include social, psychological, cultural and technical issues. Accommodation in the workplace, however, isn't as much an issue as the obstacles to getting there. A handful of exceptions have focused on autism and wounded warriors. Hear how some leading employers are reaching out to these non-traditional applicant pools, the ways technology can support (and sometimes inhibit) these efforts, and the value returned to the organization by doing so. You’ll leave with a better understanding of how to create programs and processes, and leverage technology to expand your talent pools in an extremely competitive labor market.
