One of the most important aspects in fragrance is sillage, or the trail of scent—a critical element of the scent experience. Benaim and Brahms will discuss creative and technical drivers of sillage and its application to the perfume development process. The discussion will focus on both the perfumers' understanding of how fragrance molecules behave when applied to skin, as well as provide an overview of the published literature on the physical-chemical aspects that drive performance.
