Born and raised in Tangiers, Morocco, master perfumer Carlos Benaim entered the training program at International Flavors & Fragrances in 1967 under Bernard Chant and Ernest Shiftan. His accolades include the 2004 Lifetime Achievement award from the American Society of Perfumers and the 2014 Perfumer of the Year Lifetime Achievement award from the Fragrance Foundation. In 2013, Benaim was the first perfumer to be named master perfumer at IFF.
