Track Two (DODIN Operations), Session 2: "Tactical Radio Requirements and Systems Overview" (Room Estes A)

The Army seeks to close operational capabilities gaps by improving tactical voice, data communications and position navigation and timing capabilities down to the individual Soldier level.

TRADOC Capability Manager for Tactical Radios (TCM-TR) is the Army’s centralized coordinator for evolutionary capability development and user activities associated with tactical radio platforms, waveforms, position-navigation-timing (PNT), ancillary devices, mobile/mounted application network transport management and network operations for items which are components of Tactical Radio Networks.  Additionally, TCM-TR serves as the user advocate, for Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) solutions and other issues impacting development, fielding, deployment, and sustainment of Lower and Mid-tier components.

This session discusses the current capability gaps, capability documents, tactical radio and assured position navigation and timing capability development to enable operational forces.
