Come learn how to bring iOS app development to your classroom. Never coded before? No problem! In this workshop, you will learn how to create multiple apps from the ground up. Please have Xcode (free from the App Store) downloaded on your MacBook (this may take several hours) before arriving in order to make the most of this hands-on workshop. In addition to learning the basics of app development, tips for implementing iOS app development in your classroom, whether it’s enhancing an existing class or offering a self-standing class, will be discussed. If you are interested in getting a head start with learning the Swift language, feel free to download the free Playgrounds app for the iPad. The more familiar you are with Swift, the more you will get out of this workshop!
