Podcasting offers the opportunity for students to broadcast engaging audio content that can be listened to at anytime from anywhere. Podcasts can be created easily, and the process can enhance your students' learning experience. All you need is a digital device, a microphone, an internet connection and a topic you're passionate about. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn about podcasting planning, equipment selection, content creation, show format, production tips, audio tools, uploading and developing a pre-launch checklist. Software and hardware will be provided so you can create and edit a podcast in one of the following areas: radio show, roving reporters, engaging parents, collaborative student projects, audio tours, celebrating culture, current events, debates, guest speakers, interviews, musical podcasts, publishing presentations and interviews. Bring Your Own Laptop if you like, participants will use Audacity software.
