The hiring of temporary or leased employees clearly remains a popular labor-management option for employers. Less understood, however, are the potential workers’ comp and civil-liability exposures that employers and temporary-hiring firms each face. Jonathan Barrish will examine those potential legal challenges that can arise and provide direction for preventing and overcoming them. Covering the concerns and responsibilities of both employers and leasing companies, he will also evaluate issues such as access to accident investigation findings, job descriptions, injury reporting and light-duty considerations.
