Buckle up. In three hours you will learn more about the use and blending of herbals – spices, herbs, fruits - than 99% of your fellow citizens know. We’ll explore the range of herbs available, then zero in on the top herbs for use in herbal teas. You’ll learn some basic flavor profiling to see how experts use their senses as scientific instruments to assess and adjust blends. And we’ll create our own herbal teas during the workshop. Add in a dash of regulatory distinction between teas that are foods vs dietary supplement teas, so you will know which ingredients are legally OK for each. Top off with a peek into the herbal supply chain and you’ll know where and how to buy herbs for your own custom blends.
