The week of the Eastern Energy Expo marks the first 120 days since Donald J. Trump was inaugurated as America’s 45th president. This keynote session will look at the implications for our industry of the President’s energy policies. How will supply be affected by allowing more drilling on federal lands and allowing the Keystone and Dakota pipelines to be completed? How will refined products be impacted by potential changes to the Renewable Fuel Standard? Will President Trump endorse Congressional efforts at imposing a border tax, and how might that be applied to imported petroleum products? Will exported products, including natural gas benefit from this policy and increase prices, production, both? Will increased economic activity and job creation create more energy demand and thus higher prices? These and other issues will constitute a fascinating first look at this work in progress. No one is better positioned to make sense of all this than Tom Kloza, the founder of OPIS, the Oil Price Information Service. , who has been closely following all these developments.
