Upon completion of this class, the participant should be able to identify flame detection methods currently employed for power gas and oil burners.  This presentation will introduce the participant to sensing methods employing UV, IR, Visible Light or Ionization/rectification.  Forward-looking concepts will be discussed that have been identified as potential code and/or performance based requirements, based on code enforcement or industry changes.
