Contract Auditing That Pays! (Room 205)

In this presentation, participants will gain an understanding of how to develop and execute an audit program for procurements and contracts that provides added value to their organization. The presentation’s content includes an understanding of the role of audit planning in various purchasing environments; processes for conducting a preliminary survey and establishing audit objectives; identification of purchasing risks; development of a variety of evidence from various sources and assessing the internal control environment; and, outlining audit tests including required analytics. Participants will review case studies where quality contract audits resulted in significant paybacks or offsets.
