Siemens Introduces the SGT-A45 TR Mobile Gas Turbine with Superior Performance (Room Nile 2)

In many regions of the world, the power infrastructure is stretched to its limits by rapidly growing demand for electricity. As electrification needs out-pace the ability to install traditional power generation equipment, the provision of reliable power supplies in accelerated time scales becomes a major enabler for economic development. In this context, mobile gas turbines have found in recent years numerous applications for “fast track” power generation requiring urgent deployment. For this rapidly growing market, Siemens has developed a mobile gas turbine unit. This product achieves unsurpassed levels of power density with the typical attributes of mobile units: installation in two weeks or less, and a high degree of mobility to facilitate initial delivery or relocation of the unit by road, sea or air. Such features are made possible by an aero-derivative engine core, which utilizes proven components and inherits best-in-class levels of fuel efficiency and operational flexibility. The gas turbine and its auxiliary systems are packaged onto three trailers, in a configuration carefully optimized to facilitate transportability, minimize interconnections between different trailers and facilitate the installation at site. With the majority of the commissioning activities completed at the factory, duration, cost and uncertainty of site installation are greatly reduced. The outstanding performance of this mobile unit produces superior customer value. Its power output is significantly higher than any other mobile generation set, meaning that fewer units and lower capital investment are typically required for a given total plant output. In operation, costs are minimized by achieving the highest levels of fuel efficiency and operational flexibility in this class.
