Because today's battlespace is relentlessly fluid, a perfect synergy must be achieved and data mobility and productivity is essential to mission success.  The right information in the right hands at the right time can protect warfighters, improve strategies and refine tactics.  Unfortunately, the reverse also is true, so the stakes are high and continue to escalate as the nature of data changes and evolves. Consequently, future communications capabilities will require innovative approaches to individual security that goes beyond the PIN and the password while simultaneously being intuitive to users.
