Ms. Barbara Hoffman Department of Defense Principal Director for the Deputy Chief Information Officer for Information Enterprise (DCIO-IE). Ms. Barbara Hoffman serves as the Principal Director for the DCIO-IE). Her primary responsibilities are to develop the strategic plan to address the delivery of Enterprise Collaboration and Productivity Services (ECAPS) across the Department of Defense (DoD). She chairs the ECAPS Working Group and oversees the activities of the seven Integrated Product Teams working to realize ECAPS objectives. She also provides technical expertise, policy guidance, and leadership to drive OSD processes and actions to realize an integrated DoD - wide implementation of the Joint Information Environment (JIE) and its two primary sub - components called the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) and the Mission Partner Environment - Information System (MPE-IS). In addition, she also oversees the DOD Enterprise Architecture, Data Center consolidation, Cloud implementation and Enterprise Licensing efforts. In April 2016, Ms. Barbara Hoffman was named DoD Deputy, Chief Information Officer for Business Process and Systems Review (DCIO - BPSR). In this role, she served as the DOD lead, for conducting the Business Process and IT Systems reviews as directed in 2014 by the Deputy Secretary of Defense. Additionally, she provided management and oversight for the execution of the Information Technology element of the PSA reviews. The overall goal of this effort was to identify opportunities that would increase mission effectiveness, ensure security, and lead to significant savings.
