Most credit cards in the U.S. now contain chips that improve their offline security. And that’s pushing more fraud online. Our speaker projects a 125% spike in online fraud caused in part by the spread of chip cards. Under such pressure, retailers must develop or buy more sophisticated payment security. Our first speaker, a researcher and consultant who has 10+ years in payment security and fraud-prevention technology, will provide specific actions e-retailers can take to mitigate their fraud exposure. Our next two speakers will discuss how to use the new field of fraud analytics to combine sophisticated technological analysis with good old-fashioned human intelligence to reduce fraud.
