Small Business Panel: Small Business Procurement Opportunities, Priorities, Issues, and Rules of Engagements (Room Atrium Hall)

Partnering with small businesses has always been vital to fulfilling the DHS and DOJ missions; however, it has become even more imperative as we face flattening budgets, continued calls for increased competition, and a push to leverage innovative procurement techniques.  These priorities, coupled with small businesses’ flexible business models, straightforward cost structures, and pragmatic practices, will enable small businesses to play a critical role in the success of future homeland security programs and initiatives.  There will also continue to be abundant opportunities for small businesses in the future based on the aggressive small business goals DHS and DOJ have established for their agencies.
