This session will discuss the recommendations in the WOCN® Society’s 2016 updated Guidelines for Prevention and Management of Pressure Ulcers. This evidence-based guideline was developed by a panel of WOCN Society members. The presentation will address important updates in the following areas of assessment, prevention, and treatment; highlighting identification of risk factors, wound assessment, quality of life, risk reduction, wound management, adjunctive therapies, pain management, palliative care, and patient/family education.
