A new protocol for assessing and analyzing misfires combines new detonator technology with new vibration analysis. Electronic detonators remove the risk of Type A misfires, and Wavelet Transform analysis of blast seismograms determines which charge is the cause of a Type B misfire, allowing proper mitigation.
