Dr. Anderson started working on blast vibration issues in 1980, following a bachelor?s degree in geology from the University of Illinois and a PhD in geophysics from Stony Brook University. He first joined ISEE at that time, working on signature hole vibration control at Martin Marietta Laboratories. Since then he has continued and expanded on that work, developing predictive vibration methods for implosions, advocating strain monitoring for critical structures, and now continuing his work on wavelet transform analysis to derive explosive performance from seismic waves.
