42nd Annual Conference

Value of Monitoring and Analysis of Blast Vibrations and Airblast (Room Concorde A)

30 Jan 16
1:00 PM - 1:45 PM

Tracks: Blasters Training Seminar

Blast vibration monitoring is typically conducted for the following reasons: compliance with regulations or project specifications; help provide defense against, or mitigation of, damage claims; timing analysis for vibration modification; indicate improvements in blast design and research. Doing the monitoring is only part of the process. Each of these monitoring reasons may require different types of analyses. Understanding not only when and why to monitor, but also what to do with the data once you have it is just as important.
