Workers spend more time seated on the job than in times past. Research has shown this sedentary behavior contributes to unfavorable health conditions such as obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, as well as decreased productivity. This session will review a case study in which participants were followed for a six-month period to assess physical activity levels, time spent sedentary, workstation usage, and perceptions of stand-biased and sit-to-stand workstations. You’ll learn about ergonomic solutions to help increase worker movement, productivity and overall health.
