Jerome J. Congleton, Ph.D., PE, CPE, is a Professor Emeritus of Ergonomics and Safety Engineering at the Texas A&M University Health Science Center School of Public Health. His educational background includes a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Evansville in Indiana, a MS in Management from the University of Arkansas and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech with research emphasis on Ergonomics/Human factors (the design of the workplace to fit the worker). His main research interests are in the areas of seated research, office ergonomics, prevention and control of back injuries and ergonomics. Jerome holds 8 patents, 36 refereed journal publications and has graduated and chaired 19 Ph.D.’s and 95 Masters.
