Interpreting and classifying work-related injuries is crucial. Safety records are often tied directly to recordability, and employers must understand the often-complex web of injury reporting. This session will both provide a baseline and further your knowledge of the foundation of injury recordkeeping. We’ll discuss the most common case scenarios employers face when dealing with a work-related injury and how they relate to the OSHA recordkeeping standards. New standards and guidelines will be presented, as well as interesting and often-overlooked letters of interpretation.
