The IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers is the attractions industry’s premier development program for professionals with five or fewer years’ experience in operations management.

The intensive two-and-a-half-day program is designed with a blend of classroom instruction led by industry experts, video and audio demonstrations, case study examinations, and small group presentation. Participants receive a detailed workbook with additional references and online support material. IAAPA Institute for Attraction Managers participants will leave with a solid understanding of the key disciplines and processes required to manage a successful attraction.

 The institute covers the following five core subject areas: 

  • Attractions Finance: capital, expense, and revenue budgeting, and other financial tools
  • Attractions Marketing: public relations, media relations, advertising, group sales, and marketing
  • Attractions Leadership: human resources development strategies 
  • Facility Operations and Safety: industry regulation, best practices in facility management, and crisis management 
  • Attractions Revenue Operations: food and beverage, merchandise, games, and other revenue-generating operations.

Institute Fee Includes:

  • One registration for the Asian Attractions Expo and applicable only for the IAAPA Institute for Attraction Manager participant
  • Institute tuition and support materials
  • Daytime meals and refreshments
  • Saturday evening social
  • Certificate of completion
  • Participants can earn 16 credit hour toward IAAPA Certification. Participation in all Institute activities is required to be eligible for credit hours.

 16 credit hours

Asian Attractions Expo (AAE) 2016 registration is included in the registration fee for the IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers. Space is limited and may sell out. Participants must be 18 years of age to attend.
