11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Tracks: Federal Identity Forum, Track D - Strategies & Policies

Focusing on the critical role of identity for financial inclusion and economic growth, this session will explore how the public and private sector can work together to drive financial empowerment.  Panelists will share insights and lessons learned from the implementation of trust frameworks and identity systems in the U.S. and internationally.  They will discuss the impact of new and emerging technologies on identity, how public-private collaboration can reduce barriers to a more robust identity ecosystem, and how creating more diversity in the acceptable means of establishing someone’s identity can advance financial inclusion, promote integrity and transparency, and empower consumers.  This session will also look at where innovation is heading, what it means for privacy and security, and how to build trust in emerging technologies and business models.
