Blast Furnace Operation Improvement by Forming Uniform Circular Distribution of Raceway's Thermal Mode (Room 201 A)

The experience of developing and implementing a set of measures for the rational distribution of pulverized coal injection (PCI) between blast furnace tuyeres by establishing uniform thermal conditions around the blast furnace as a result of the directional unevenness of PCI amount to tuyeres is presented. The industrial implementation the circular uneven PCI distribution on two DMK blast furnaces provides savings of 3.9% and 4.7% of the specific consumption of coke. In order to implement the proposed PCI distribution, the automated control system with possibility the coal injection regulating at each individual tuyere has been realized on devices originally designed by PW.
