A Holistic Approach Toward the Next Level of Safe EAF Operation (Room 209 B)

This paper will not only show the latest tool geared toward the goal of zero accidents, but will also demonstrate a full circle of inventions that are in operation at BSW. The latest tool at BSW's plant in Kehl, Germany, is called the taphole manipulator (THM), which launched in January 2020. As BSW's personnel are its most important asset, BSW thrives to do everything possible to keep them safe. This paper will show a full circle of equipment implemented to do so.
