Tracks: Sustainable Resource Management
This presentation will offer a unique perspective on sustainable materials management (SMM) by providing 1) results of cutting-edge research on LCA for packaging, 2) Oregon’s and Iowa’s policy vision for transition from integrated solid waste management with weight base metrics to SMM with performance-based metrics, and 3) the City of Denver’s SMM programmatic efforts with the application of capture rates for recycling and organics collection program.
