Rock Steady Boxing, a nonprofit organization founded in Indianapolis in 2006, gives people with Parkinson’s disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact, boxing-inspired fitness curriculum. RSB’s mission is to empower people to “fight back” against Parkinson’s disease. Starting with one local gym, the organization has grown to a network of more than 550 affiliates in 49 states and seven countries in less than six years. In this session, you’ll learn more about the goals, history, and accomplishments of this amazing organization. Discovery of a cure may be many years away, but in the last 12 years there is ample evidence that improvement is made in all stages of the disease by those participating in the RSB program. “Of all the pills I’ve taken, Rock Steady Boxing is the finest and most effective.” – Pete S., Rock Steady Boxer for 11 years.
