Improve Property Performance and Satisfy ENERGY STAR Using New Technology (Room 209B)

The U.S. EPA’s ENERGY STAR®  program includes over 450,000 commercial buildings benchmarked for energy consumption and utility consumers have shaved $430 billion off their bills. Mandatory requirements and heightened scrutiny from lenders, equity investors, insurers, tenants, appraisers and others who now factor energy management into their decisions is making the right energy strategy imperative. This session will show how dedicated energy management software can be the foundation of such a strategy. Attendees will learn about the elements of local building energy policy requirements and how property owners and managers can use energy procurement services, building automation software and other new technology to measure, monitor and improve energy performance. The panel’s industry and technology experts will describe innovative new tools for usage and cost monitoring, consumption alerts, emissions tracking, sustainability planning, automated utility billing and budgeting support.
