These are the firsthand, personal anecdotes and adventures of Ralph Kling, a farm boy who became a fighter pilot in World War II. The story will trace episodes from learning to fly the P-47, to missions around D Day. It will depict the day he was shot down, the days spent as a POW in Stalag Luft III, and the days when the POWs were taken on a forced march in the snow and in boxcars to Mooseborg. It concludes with the importance of "LIBERATION" as depicted in the EX-POW Monument at the Miramar National Cemetery. Presentation moderated by Ron Carrico.
