The Affordable Care Act is going to impact most employers –
including many medical practices, depending on the number
of staff they employ. It will also alter healthcare coverage for many of the insured patient population, which generates the majority of the revenues for a medical practice. And, the Act and its regulations will produce major billing and collection issues for providers if a large percentage of their patients change to coverage provided by a statewide insurance exchange. This triple impact on employers, patients, and medical providers will converge on one industry, medical providers.
