2017 AFCEA Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium

Mission Partner - DISA Mission Partner Engagement Office (Room Halls F and Swing)

14 Jun 17
8:15 AM - 9:15 AM

Tracks: Mission Partner Theater

This session will provide the attendee with an understanding of the revised mission and functions of the Mission Partner Engagement Office (MPEO) and identify the points of contact within the Agency for the various services.  Attendees will learn the how a requirement, for both standard and non-standard services, is documented, engineered, implemented and sustained.

The mission brief for the MPEO will include mission, functions, and organizational structure.  In addition, the presentation will include a synopsis of the DISA Requirements Management Process – the workflow for the fulfillment of all requirements.  In addition, MPEO is in the process of significantly enhancing the structure, clarity, and ease of use for the DISA Catalog of Services.  Finally, MPEO recently realigned to accommodate the Agency’s transition to a computing ecosystem.  MPEO is still the front door for all service requests, but is now focusing on more strategic outreach activities to include portfolio reviews with the mission partners.

Attendees will also learn of points of contact within the MPEO that are specific for their organization, both as a proactive partner and a conduit into the DISA organization.  The presentation will cap off with a Q&A with the MPEO Chief, his staff, and Mission Partners.

Expectation is that attendees will come away with a better understanding of requirement fulfillment within DISA and the partnership established to satisfy their product and service requirements and address their concerns.
