Prior to his assignment at DISA, Col Barnhart was the Commander, 844th Communications Group and Director of Communications for the Air Force District of Washington, Joint Base Andrews, MD. His previous assignments also include remote tours to Korea and Southwest Asia as well as staff tours at the Air Education and Training Command, the Air Force Space Command, the Pentagon, and Air Forces Central Command.
