We have always had the ability for you to have a start of call message that plays before the call rings through - something like "Thanks for calling XYZ Pizza. Add a salad with your order today!". And those do have a positive impact. What we always told customers was "You can log in any time and change what mesage is playing". Problem is, they never do change it...so it may be stuck on "add a salad" for years.
So we added the ability to create a set of messages and have the system pick one at random for each caller. One caller may hear "Try our new firey wings". The next hear "Add a pan of gooey chocolate brownies" etc. Customers who let us add four or five of these messages see as much as a $500 to $1,000 increase in monthly revenue on the add-on items!
