We are excited to roll out our newest Inhibitaur corrosion management product, 3X Rust De-Bonder.
It uses completely different technology than traditional products, which operate using low-pH to dissolve rust. While they can be effective, the low-pH type product can contribute to excessive removal of sound metal along with the rust and can cause hydrogen embrittlement, leading to weakened metal and eventual fracture.
Rather than dissolving the rust, 3X Rust De-Bonder has a strong affinity for iron, which allows it to pull the rust off the surface by breaking the bond that holds it to the underlying metal. Depending on intensity and depth of corrosion, rust can be removed in hours to overnight without agitation. 3X Rust De-Bonder also contains a flash rust inhibition system that combines an oxygen scavenger with a polymeric barrier to isolate the metal from the oxygen and moisture in the air, which cause flash rust.
