2017 International Pizza Expo

General Mills to Host Pizza Crust Showdown at Pizza Expo

MINNEAPOLIS (March 24, 2017) — What is the top pizza crust style in the U.S.? General Mills Foodservice is conducting a “pizza crust showdown” at this year’s International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas—asking pizzeria owners to place their bets and vote for their favorite crust.

“We are going straight to the source, the nation’s pizza owners and industry experts, to find out which crusts are tops with today’s consumers,” said Tim Huff, R&D manager at General Mills Foodservice and part of The Doughminators’ team of experts who work with pizzeria owners to create signature crusts and solve crust catastrophes. “Whether it’s New York-style thin crust, Naples or Chicago Deep Dish, the Pizza Expo is the perfect place to get to the bottom of people’s favorite pizzas and find which crust is the most popular.”

"Vote Your Crust" Details

Pizza Expo attendees are invited to General Mills booth (#N1677) to vote for their favorite crust and enjoy the chance to receive fun giveaway items, e.g., pizza cutters, key chains and t-shirts, while supplies last. Results will be tallied and automatically displayed on a leaderboard throughout Pizza Expo.
