LCD Slot Monitor Repair Training Course
The Course
This training class is designed specifically for slot technicians focusing on LCD monitor operation, problems and repairs. A “Hands On” component level repair class, technicians will learn how to properly troubleshoot monitors, pinpoint the problem, and test them. Technicians will learn to repair actual monitors from your gaming floor. Additionally, we will cover repairs on power supplies, A/D boards, Inverter boards and replacement of CCFL’s with LED light strips.
During the class, your techs will learn the following and more:
· Theory of LCD monitors, as it pertains to repair procedures.
· Troubleshooting techniques which can be used on all LCD monitors.
· Troubleshooting procedures for specific makes and models of slot monitors, including IGT Trimline, Slant Top and Uprights, Kortek, Kristel, Wells Gardner, Tovis, Tatung and Ceronix.
· The importance of CCFL’s and the benefits of complete CCFL upgrades.
· Includes LCD monitor repair essential tool kit.
· Includes CCFL upgrade kit.
· Hands on Repair - technicians are asked to provide non-working LCD monitors to repair during the class. All test equipment and the most common components will be provided to each student to use during the class.
· Each student will receive one on one instruction and assistance during the two day course.
· Upon completion, your technicians will have the knowledge, tools and confidence to competently repair LCD monitors.
About the instructor
Our training program and repair procedures have been developed by Andrew Riley. Andrew holds a degree in electronics engineering and in 1994 was awarded a US patent for a circuit that he designed. Andrew has been an electronics technician since the early 1980’s. Andrew started his own business and has been self-employed since 1989.
