These women are very well respected elders and were my mentors and motivation upon my entrance to what is now known as Indian Gaming. My personal journey began in 1985 as a Supervisor, and as I continued through the ranks, in 1991 I became the Gaming Manager thru 1999. Experienced a couple of years of employment outside of my Tribe, however it was a short story and I returned to being employed by Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin. In 2009 I accepted a contract offer as the Gaming General Manager and just recently began my 8th consecutive year. My career also includes employment experience as a Gaming Regulator. I’ve additionally served as the Chairwoman & Executive Director of Oneida Gaming Commission. The most dynamic experiences include the historic negotiations of the first gaming compact of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin and the State of Wisconsin. The second most rewarding experience was witnessing growth into Class III gaming.
