M. Alsace LaFramboise currently serves as the Southwest Zone Manager (Loan Officer) for the Division of Capital Investment (DCI), Office of Indian Energy and Economic Development, Indian Affairs in Albuquerque, NM. THE SW Zone administers the Indian Loan Guaranty and Insurance Programs with servicing responsibility for tribes, tribal entities and individuals located in the States of Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Utah. Alsace has extensive experience in negotiating, structuring and securing financing for economic and business development projects throughout Indian Country. She has also been involved in all aspects of entrepreneurial development including training and accessing small business financing on reservations. She served as the Director of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe’s business equity fund where she was actively involved in the planning and developing the appropriate infrastructure for the Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) and forming a Community Development Corporation on the Reservation. She is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
