Leslie Tanyan, MBA, is a member of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma and also Seminole, Absentee Shawnee, Osage and Blackfeet. Leslie has been involved in Indian Gaming since 2005 serving as a Commissioner and later Director of the Gaming Commission. She is currently the Executive Director of the Absentee Shawnee Gaming Commission. Indian Gaming has had a tremendous impact economically for tribes involved in gaming and therefore protection of the casino assets are a priority for regulators. It has been a good experience working on the regulatory side of gaming and feels its an honor to share her experience to others.
