JR Mathews has been integral to Great Luck's technology development and deployment, responsible for areas such as game design, proxy development, playability issues, system security, quality assurance, and systems integration oversight among other critical functions. He is a member of the Quapaw and Seneca/Cayuga Tribes of Oklahoma and is past Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Quapaw Tribe. He also served two terms as Treasurer of the National Indian Gaming Association in Washington, DC as well as on numerous Indian-centered boards nationally. JR was a gaming commissioner for the Quapaw Tribe and was President of the Quapaw Gaming Corporation. He served as Vice Chairman of the Downstream Development Authority, which oversaw the construction of a $300 million dollar casino on-time and under budget, an exceptional feat. JR is a former Artistic Director of the American Indian Theater Company. He continues to build on his over 30 years of experience, working closely with Tribes and organizations around the country including raising funds for scholarships, introducing Tribal-owned insurance companies, and participating in a number of other self-determination focused initiatives.
