Mary Beth DeFazio is a seasoned leader in the fields of hospitality and gaming management. Her experience is derived from relationships with some of the world's most respected gaming & hospitality companies. With almost 20 years experience in the industry, Mary Beth has been involved with almost every aspect of gaming operations from ground breaking to grand opening, renovation to reorganization. Mary Beth began her career in the gaming industry in 1992, as a member of the human resources management team that opened the world's largest hotel, casino and theme park ~ the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. In 1996 Mary Beth started her own consulting firm, PEP Marketing, (Positive Environments through People) and has helped clients build strong service oriented cultures within their organizations. One of her most significant challenges was opening Casino Niagara with Larry Woolf and The Navegante Group where she was part of a 12 member management team, responsible for overseeing the recruitment, employment, and training for the more than 3,500 casino employees hired in a record 129 days. In December of 1996, Casino Niagara opened on schedule to rave reviews and within its projected budget. Mary Beth repeated that success in 2002 with the Seneca Nation of Indians on the opening of their world class facility in Niagara Falls, New York, under time constraints that were even more demanding. In 2005, Mary Beth pioneered Mountainview Marketing, which a full service external marketing company. Mountainview’s client list includes some of the industry’s most successful gaming and related operations who are provided with consulting and marketing and promotional services, player loyalty and reward programs, and customer service training. Mary Beth received her Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Niagara University and earned a Master's degree in hospitality and tourism management from Rochester Institute of Technology.
