Knute Knudson is currently IGT Vice President Business Development and Tribal Relations. He focuses on business opportunities throughout IGT’s International Regions and IGT’s business footprint in Indian Country. He has held many VP titles with IGT, and IGT’s Distributor, Sodak Gaming, in his 24 year gaming career. Included in the list of titles are VP Product and Market Development, VP Strategic Planning, VP Administration and VP Government Relations. Prior to launching his career in the gaming industry, Knute worked in Washington DC as a Presidential Appointee. He also worked for 3 municipal governments doing long range capital improvement planning and budgeting, tax increment financing and strategic planning. He served 3 terms as a South Dakota State Legislator rising to the Majority Whip leadership role. He completed his undergraduate degree at Black Hills State College and has Master’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma and Harvard University’s Kennedy School. He writes extensively for trade publications and regularly addresses conferences and trade shows. Knute has served and continues to serve on numerous public-spirited boards. He and his wife, Pennie Kirk, reside in Reno.
