Andrew Kurtzman

Andrew Kurtzman is the Director of the Innovation Lab in the U.S. Government Accountability Office, where he leads enterprise-wide initiatives to strengthen GAO’s internal operations and oversight of Executive Branch programs on behalf of the United States Congress. He oversees the development and validation of new audit capabilities, the creation of predictive capabilities to identify future high-value oversight opportunities, and the testing and deployment of emerging technologies. His team also provides technical advisory support across the Legislative Branch and the broader federal oversight community. Andrew previously served as Assistant Director for Data Science in the Innovation Lab and as a Senior Economist in GAO's International Affairs and Trade team. Andrew holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MPP from Harvard University, and a BA from Brown University.
